The Parameta A Cotton+ fabric used for Páramo’s travel garments provides superior performance for warm weather clothing. The blend of cotton and modern synthetics provides the best qualities of both fabrics. More lightweight and fast-drying than many other comparable garments, they are tough and highly wind resistant. The dense weave blocks harmful UV rays (UPF 50+) and is also very effective at deterring biting insects without the need for any treatment, making it ideal for traveling and walking in warm conditions.

In what weather conditions can I use my Neck Tube?

The Neck Tube can be used all year round as required. In extremely cold conditions where greater insulation is required, we would recommend the Grid Neckwarmer.

How do I look after this Páramo item?

This item works best if washed using one of Nikwax’s synthetic baselayer products such as Base Wash® or Base Fresh®. Unlike standard washing detergents, these products enhance the wicking performance of your kit and prevent odour build up.

 

What if I damage my Páramo clothing?

Simple repairs can often be done with a needle and thread without compromising the performance of your garment. If it is seriously damaged, you can send it back to Páramo and request a quote for having it repaired. Our Customer Service team can advise you.

Working closely with Nikwax®, Páramo have pioneered a treatment process for waterproofs, fleeces and windproofs which enables us to take untreated fabrics and add Nikwax waterproofing, not reliant on fluorocarbons to repel water. Studies show that fluorocarbons of all kinds persist in the environment and are damaging to human health. Nikwax waterproofing solutions are water-based and use no harmful solvents or propellant gases, are not tested on animals, not harmful to humans, and contain no damaging fluorocarbons.
