Overview

The Directional Windproof fabric provides renewable water-repellency and excellent breathability plus is tough, lightweight and rapid drying. The generous sleeve/torso vents allow excellent temperature control, precisely adjustable for variable conditions and a wide range of temperatures.

Helmet friendly hood with wired visor offering vertical and horizontal adjustment to maximise visibility. When rolled and secured, the hood seals the neck area.
Underarm panels provide excellent freedom of movement for climbing and other activities.
Scooped tail for lumbar protection when stretching or bending.
Precisely adjustable cuffs with hook & loop fastening, so sleeves can be secured or easily pushed up. One pocket doubles as a stuff sack for the jacket.
Handwarming and storage from two zipped pockets above harness level.
Two-way reversed front zip for temperature control.
Easy access forward-positioned sleeve/torso vents with zips to provide excellent airflow with minimal water ingress even in rain. Vents are still accessible when wearing a pack and allow access to inner layers.
Hem cord for additional temperature control, prevents rucking when load carrying.
All features designed for single gloved hand adjustment.

How do I look after this Páramo item?

Always wash this garment with Nikwax Tech Wash® to remove dirt and revive the water-repellency. If, even after washing, the garment outer absorbs water, it is time to reproof with Nikwax TX.Direct®. If you very heavily soil your garment, for example with tar or oil, you can have it dry cleaned. It will then need to be washed with Tech Wash and reproofed with TX.Direct.

Nikwax Tech Wash and TX.Direct are market leading products. They have been specifically designed and optimised for breathable waterproof fabrics. Application in a washing machine is quick, easy, and ensures that the whole garment is thoroughly cleaned and waterproofed.

Nikwax Tech Wash is a highly effective cleaner. Additionally it will revitalise existing Durable Water Repellency (DWR) and revive breathability. It is the safe way to thoroughly clean your waterproof clothing and equipment.

Nikwax TX.Direct Wash-In has been specifically designed and optimised for breathable waterproof garments; it leaves a flexible water repellent treatment on individual fibres allowing moisture vapour to pass through, maintaining breathability.

What if I damage my Páramo clothing?

Simple repairs can often be done with a needle and thread without compromising the performance of your garment. If it is seriously damaged, you can send it back to Páramo and request a quote for having it repaired. Our Customer Service team can advise you.

Páramo clothing does not rely on hazardous PFC treatments for water repellency.

Working closely with Nikwax, we have developed a pioneering PFC-free treatment for our fleeces, waterproofs and windproofs. Recent studies show that PFC’s are persistent in the environment and are damaging to human health; which is why Nikwax waterproofing solutions are water-based, use no harmful solvents or propellant gases, contain no damaging PFC’s and are not tested on animals.
