Our waterproof gear is designed to keep you comfortable and dry in all conditions, but not every garment provides the same level of weather protection. The Nikwax Analogy system works differently from conventional waterproof fabrics— actively moving liquid water away from your body as well as allowing moisture vapour to escape. For occasional use, such as short walks or light showers, a lighter garment offers plenty of protection and breathability. But if you’ll be outdoors for long periods in persistent rain or carrying a heavy pack, a more protective design with greater directional waterproof performance will keep you drier and more comfortable. 

Our garments are designed to keep you warm and dry, but the level of insulation varies depending on the activity and conditions. For light use, such as a jacket to throw on during chilly mornings, a lower insulation rating is usually sufficient. However, if you’ll be spending long days in freezing or exposed environments, a higher level of insulation will offer greater warmth and protection.
