WOMEN'S VELEZ ADVENTURE LIGHT SMOCK

Our waterproof gear is designed to keep you comfortable and dry in all conditions, but not every garment provides the same level of weather protection. The Nikwax Analogy system works differently from conventional waterproof fabrics— actively moving liquid water away from your body as well as allowing moisture vapour to escape. For occasional use, such as short walks or light showers, a lighter garment offers plenty of protection and breathability. But if you’ll be outdoors for long periods in persistent rain or carrying a heavy pack, a more protective design with greater directional waterproof performance will keep you drier and more comfortable.

Our garments are designed to keep you warm and dry, but the level of insulation varies depending on the activity and conditions. For light use, such as a jacket to throw on during chilly mornings, a lower insulation rating is usually sufficient. However, if you’ll be spending long days in freezing or exposed environments, a higher level of insulation will offer greater warmth and protection.

Wind resistance refers to how well your garment blocks the wind—an essential feature in cold or exposed environments where windchill can rapidly increase heat loss. In membrane waterproofs, greater wind protection usually reduces breathability, however, Nikwax Analogy doesn’t rely on breathability alone – it actively moves liquid water away from your body, keeping you dry even when humidity is high or airflow is reduced.

Thanks to Páramo’s unique Nikwax Analogy system, our garments actively move moisture away from your body, keeping you dry and comfortable even during intense activity. The trade-off is that maximum moisture control can reduce insulation, so choosing the right layer helps you balance dryness with warmth in different conditions.

Páramo garments are designed with practical ventilation options, such as zips and adjustable openings, allowing you to release excess heat and moisture quickly. This makes it easier to regulate your temperature on the move, without the need to change layers.

Our water-resistant garments repel light rain and moisture while staying highly breathable. They offer reliable comfort during active use or changing conditions, without the weight of full waterproofing. Ideal for short showers or fast-paced adventures, they balance protection with freedom of movement.
